The risk then transitions to a winter weather situation Tuesday night into the first half of Wednesday as cold air rushes in behind the cold front. Temperatures will drop into the upper 20s and low 30s in the western half of the state with a mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow possible. Wind chills will drop into the single digits and teens due to strong northwest winds.

Roads could be slick Wednesday, and power lines may be impacted as well. Obviously this is an unusual situation so we encourage you to stay with News 9, we'll keep you advised.
