An Oklahoma County Judge signed off on an arrest warrant for Al Gerhart, co-founder of the Sooner Tea Party, on Tuesday afternoon. He is charged with one count of Blackmail and one count of Violating the Computer Crimes Act.

Gerhart has not been arrested or turned himself in at the Oklahoma County Jail. But court records shows his bond will be set at $15,000, and he will be restricted from contacting Senator Cliff Branan. He is ordered to stay 1,000 feet from the Oklahoma Senator.

Gerhart is accused of sending a threatening email to Branan. Court documents show Gerhart threatened to make Branan the "laughing stock of Senate," and "dig into" his past.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the threat, and at this point, has not been able to get Gerhart to come in for an interview.

Gerhart was not immediately available for comment.
