Residents at a northeast Oklahoma City apartment complex called police when they said a drunken man tried to run down a teenager with his car.

Police arrived at 3832 Dungee Boulevard around 7:45 p.m. the night of April 9. Witnesses told officers a 14-year-old boy was walking through the complex when 43-year-old Eric Leigh Miller revved his engine and began chasing the teen.

Neighbors said Miller drove his car over curbs and into the grass as he chased the teen. The teen said he escaped by running into a concrete culvert.

Police found Miller inside his apartment. Officers noted he was bleeding and his right eye was swollen shut. They also noticed he was highly intoxicated.

Miller told police he was attacked by more than a dozen people in the parking lot. Police took him into custody. After he was medically cleared at a hospital, he was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of public drunkenness.
