The Oklahoma City RedHawks' home opener was Friday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The RedHawks have been playing at Bricktown Ballpark since 1997. But now, the Houston Astro's organization has announced they are considering moving their Triple A affiliation from Oklahoma City to a city closer to Houston.

However, if they do, Red Hawks General Manager Michael Byrnes says another Major League organization will take their place.

"This is a very attractive market for them to play in. If you think about just the facility, it's one of the best.  And its central location is critical for moving players," said Byrnes.

Regardless what happens, Houston is still contractually obligated to Oklahoma City through the 2014 season.
