Police have determined a "suspicious device" that sickened a woman at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex and led to a response from the bomb squad turned out to be a lithium battery in an electronic cigarette charger.

Police, firefighters and the bomb squad rushed Tuesday morning to Putnam Green Apartments near Rockwell and Wilshire, just east of Wiley Post Airport. A woman was injured when she inhaled some chemicals she said were under her desk in the leasing office of the complex.

She was taken to the hospital in good condition.

The bomb squad located what they called a suspicious device under the woman's desk. They used a robot to take a closer look at it.

The bomb squad determined the device was a charger from an electronic cigarette. The lithium battery malfunctioned and caught fire.
