Deputies arrest a Yukon man accused of videotaping young girls and downloading and distributing child porn.
Investigators say Tyler Wayne Ward, 49, secretly videotaped young girls in his neighborhood while they were wearing swimsuits and playing in their own backyards.
Deputies executed a search warrant at Ward's home and recovered a number of computers, and electronic devices in the home and garage. The most concerning discover, though, was in a metal building located in the backyard.
It was here where the Canadian County Sheriff's Office said it uncovered "enough computer equipment to run a small recording studio." Investigators believe this is where Ward spent most of his time surfing the web and then downloading, manufacturing and distributing images.
"This was undoubtedly the biggest and most sophisticated setup that we've seen," said Randall Edwards, Canadian County Sheriff. "He had everything he needed to both feed and conceal his ugly addiction."
Ward's collection included web cameras, video recorders, computers and monitors. The sheriff's office said Ward had so much equipment, that additional manpower was needed to help remove all the evidence from the house and out building.
Ward was booked into the Canadian County Jail and charged with one count of aggravated possession of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. His bond is set at $75,000.
