Police are looking for a man behind a string of home invasions targeting seniors.
The latest victim is a 90-year-old man who has a broken hip now, after the thief kicked in his door and assaulted him.
Two of these home invasions have happened in Spencer, and now Midwest City Police are investigating two of their own.
And both departments think they're looking for the same guy. In only 4 days' time, a violent thief has terrified four senior citizens. The home invasions started Saturday night in Spencer.
"They knock on the door, and either they didn't come to the door, the homeowners didn't come to the door, or they actually just knocked on the door and kicked the door in," Spencer Police Chief Virgil Green said.
We met 90-year-old Vivian Reeser earlier this week. She was home Monday afternoon when a thief broke in, knocked her to the ground and broke her collarbone. He took off with her purse and left her so scared she's moving out of her home.
"I hope that they can do something about it and put him away," Chief Green said.
A 90-year-old man from her church who lives in Midwest City was robbed and assaulted on Tuesday, along with another victim. Police say the suspect descriptions are similar. The thief hasn't shown a weapon, but he's dangerous, and seniors need to be on alert.
"This person is going to another level with how violent they're acting," Chief Green says, "once they get inside a homeowner's home, especially the elderly, they can't defend themselves."
The two Midwest City home invasions happened around N.E 10th Street. Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the Spencer or Midwest City police departments.
Police are looking for a black man with a bald or shaved head about 5-feet-9-inches tall and 175 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, black hoodie and dark pants.
