I admire OSU freshman Marcus Smart for following his heart instead of the money and staying in school another year and passing on the NBA for now. Here's what you had to say about it.
Cindy first: "I think he's crazy! He could have retired off of that money."
Becky says: "Hard to believe. But I think he's showing some appreciation for those who have given him the opportunities he's had. Have to admire his loyalty!"
Paula writes: "He is young and apparently understands his education is important too."
Kathy adds: "Maybe he likes being a 19-year-old kid and knows there's time to become an adult and go to work."
From Meagan: "Smart 19 year old! Putting education and his love for basketball before millions of dollars! It will all pay off for him in his later years."
But Mike says: "Should [have] took [the] money and ran. If he breaks a leg next year, he will be flipping burgers at [McDonald's]."
Finally Andy writes: "I was born an Oklahoma State Cowboy fan, and would love to see you stay. But, TAKE THE MONEY MARCUS, and LIVE YOUR DREAM! You deserve it!"
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's YOUR 2 Cents.
