A homicide investigation is underway after a man's body was found outside his trailer home.

This happened in Choctaw, east of Oklahoma City. It was the man's boss who found him after he didn't show up for work Monday. That's when he found the man, identified as 46-year old James Vaughn, naked and unconscious in his driveway. He had also been shot multiple times.

Monday morning, crime scene tape went up on this gravel road off Southeast 29th Street in Choctaw. The man who lived in a trailer behind these trees was found unconscious in his driveway. We're told he had several gunshot wounds.

"At approximately 8:00 AM, officers received a call from a friend of the victim, who came to check on the victim because he didn't report to work, and discovered the body in the drive," Choctaw Police Chief Conny Clay said.

The friend who found Vaughn is his boss, a carpenter in Choctaw. He says Vaughn kept to himself, and always showed up for work. He also tells News 9 Vaughn lived alone, and his car is now missing.

"Right now we're investigating it as a homicide, and we'll have to wait for the M.E.'s report to determine the cause of death," Chief Clay said.

Investigators are looking for a '94 Champagne colored Pontiac Bonneville. The license plate number is 735-DZZ. Police say the passenger headlight is damaged and there's a red scrape on the passenger side.

Investigators say they'll be following up on several leads over the next few days. Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Choctaw Police or the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.
