Firefighters Extinguish House Fire In Midwest City

Firefighters now have a handle on a house fire in Midwest City.

The fire broke out about 2:45 Thursday afternoon at a home located in the 1800 block of Tim Drive, just west of N. Post Road in Midwest City. Firefighters put out the flames and worked to keep the flames from spreading to the homes located next door.

The homeowner called 911 to report the fire and made it out of the home without injury. Crews will remain on scene until all "hot spots" are out.

No word on what caused the fire. It remains under investigation.
