Court documents reveal new information in the murder of a man found this week dead in the driveway of his Choctaw home.

The woman accused of killing him claims he was holding her against her will. In a police affidavit filed Wednesday, Angela Durent admits to investigators that she shot James Vaughn with his own gun and then took off in his car.

That was Saturday. When Vaughn's boss went to check on him Monday morning, he found him dead. It was a gruesome scene Monday morning in the 15,000 block of SE 29th St. Vaughn's boss found his naked body with multiple gunshot wounds. He told investigators a girl had been staying with Vaughn.

That girl is Angela Durent. Court papers show she drove Vaughn's car to a friend's house and admitted to him that she killed Vaughn. The man called police and investigators found her at a home in Midwest City.

"There was a tip we were given that led us straight to her. [We] went to the residence where she was staying and spoke with her. She admitted to everything," Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mark Myers said.

Durent told police she killed 48-year-old Vaughn because he wouldn't allow her to leave the residence. She said while Vaughn was inside the bathroom taking a shower, she removed his silver .38-caliber revolver from the closet.

Then she says, "once the victim was in the hallway she discharged three rounds from the revolver, hitting him in the upper body."

Investigators say Vaughn ran outside, where he fell and later died. Durent's mother tells News 9 her daughter has a drug problem.

News 9 found she pleaded guilty to drug charges just three months ago in Oklahoma County. Thursday night, Durent sits in the Oklahoma County Jail facing first-degree murder charges. She turned 22 years old today.
