Police are on the lookout for one suspect after a bank robbery in northwest Oklahoma City, Thursday afternoon.
According to investigators, a black male entered the Buy 4 Less grocery store located at 3501 NW Expressway, and approached the bank teller counter in the store, just after 2 p.m.
The suspect handed the teller a note stating that he had a gun and demanding money. The teller complied and handed the man a white plastic sack filled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as being between 6' and 6'2" tall with a slim build, and approximately 30 years of age. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with black pants and black sunglasses and pinkie rings, heading westbound on NW expressway in a black Mercury Grand Marquise.
The suspect is also believed to be connected with a failed robbery attempt at the IBC Bank on 57th and May Ave. about an hour before the Buy 4 Less robbery.
The FBI is assisting with the investigation at this time. No suspects are in custody.
Anyone with information is requested to call the FBI at (405) 290-7770. Callers can remain anonymous. The Oklahoma Banker's Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for robbing a member bank.
