The Oklahoma Sooners clinched its 10th Big 12 title Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 win over Oklahoma State.
With the win, the Sooners also clinch the Bedlam Series, continuing their domination since the series officially began in 2001. Oklahoma has won the series every year since it was established.
Michelle Gascoigne picked up the win to improve to 17-3 this season. She struck out eight batters and gave up four hits while walking none.
Kat Espinosa took the loss for the Cowgirls.
The Sooners opened the scoring in the bottom of the first, when Lauren Chamberlain singled and came around to score on a double from Shelby Pendley.
Oklahoma tacked on two more runs in the fourth inning. Destinee Martinez doubled to start the rally. Javen Henson walked and Brianna Turang reached on a fielder's choice that saw Martinez thrown out at third. Chamberlain followed Turang and roped a double down the left field line to score two runs.
The Sooners picked up their fourth run in the sixth inning when Henson doubled with two outs and Turang knocked an RBI single in the next at-bat.
Oklahoma State had plenty of options to get on the board, but stranded six batters during the game.
The final game in the series will be in Stillwater on Sunday, with first pitch set for 1 p.m.
