A woman visiting from France was injured Saturday morning after a car crashed into a motorcycle she was on in Washita County.
It happened just before 12 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-40 at mile marker 49 in Washita County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Dallas Owens of Shamrock, Texas, was driving a 2001 Toyota Sequoia, westbound on I-40. Owens was looking at his children, ages 1, 3, and 4, in the back seat when he crashed into a motorcycle from behind.
The motorcycle, driven by 40-year-old Arnaud Brumet of Bagnols-Sur-Ceze, France, was going westbound on I-40 as well at the time of the collision.
Brumet's passenger, 36-year-old Virginie Eszulier of Bagnols-Sur-Ceze, France, was flown to Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, suffering from leg injuries. She is said to be in stable condition.
No one else was injured.
Troopers listed the cause of the crash as "inattention-passenger" in the OHP collision report.
