Oklahoma City police arrest a man for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

It happened on Friday, May 10 when police say 24-year-old Jesus Manuel Salazar, Jr. tried to punch an officer multiple times.

According to a police report, officers pulled Salazar over at a gas station near W. Wilshire Boulevard and N. Broadway Extension. That's when officers said Salazar got out of his car, upset at being stopped.

Officers smelled alcohol on his breath and said he tried to run, but police stopped him with a taser. After being tased, Salazar allegedly tried to assault the officer. Salazar was tackled and handcuffed.

He faces multiple charges including assault and battery on a police officer, driving under the influence, resisting arrest and no state driver's license.
