Multiple sources are reporting that former Oklahoma State quarterback Wes Lunt has decided to transfer to Illinois.

The Rochester, Ill. native will return to his home state to lead a program in need of a spark.  The Illini struggled to a 2-10 record in 2012, lost all eight conference games and only managed wins over lowly Charleston Southern and Western Michigan.

Lunt announced his decision to transfer in May but deliberated potential destinations for about a month.  Due to NCAA rules, he will have to sit out the 2013 season but will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Lunt started as a true freshman for OSU in 2012, throwing for 1,108 yards and six touchdowns in five games. He was the first true freshman to ever start at quarterback for the Cowboys.
