The first weekend of summer in Oklahoma has been a deadly one. Seven people have died in traffic accidents. Two more have drowned.

It has been a very tragic couple of days across the state. Five of the victims were under 18 years old. Friday night, two teenagers from Texas were killed in Caddo County when the wheel from a tractor trailer in front of them, flew off and went through their windshield. Another teen is in critical condition.

And two women from Texas, one of them just 16-years-old, were killed early Saturday morning on I-44 in Rogers County. Their SUV was clipped by another vehicle and rolled several times.

Saturday afternoon, a father accidentally backed over his son at Lake Oologah. The little boy died from head injuries.

And a 58-year-old man died after his vehicle flipped at Southwest 108th and S. Western Ave. in Oklahoma City. Police believe he may have actually died of natural causes, but are still investigating.

And a 5-year-old died in a two-car crash on N. Portland in Oklahoma City.

Two people drowned at Waurika Lake. One man jumped from a boat to swim and got pulled under by rough waters. And an 18-year-old also drowned when he chased a soccer ball into the lake and went too far into the water.
