Deputies questioned Jones and Jenkins, asking if they had permission from the property owners to take the items. The two admitted they did not. They also reportedly told deputies they'd been taking debris from the area for the past couple of weeks.
Jenkins and Jones were booked into the Cleveland County jail. Deputies learned at the jail that Jenkins had lied about her name at the scene, giving law enforcement her sister's name and identification.
Deputies have previously arrested suspected looters in the Little Axe-Newalla area. The Cleveland County sheriff asks anyone who sees anything suspicious to immediately call 911 and report the crime.
