Crews Inspect Old I-40 Bridge In OKC After Accident On Penn

Bridge inspections are underway at Pennsylvania Avenue and old I-40 after an accident on Thursday morning.

Just before 10 a.m. Thursday, a semi slammed into the old I-40 bridge that goes over Pennsylvania Avenue, leaking hydraulic fluid. Hazmat crews responded to the scene.

Inspections are underway to determine if any significant damage was sustained. Traffic no longer travels on this bridge and it is not part of the new I-40 Crosstown. Oklahoma City crews are maintaining cleanup on Pennsylvania Avenue.

No injuries are reported.
