Warr Acres Man Who Plays Santa Arrested For Lewd Proposal

A 49-year-old Warr Acres man who plays Santa Claus at at least one area elementary school is now charged with trying to have sex with a teenage girl.

The OSBI says Wiley Gene Davis Junior responded to an ad on Craigslist from someone he thought was a 15-year-old girl.

A deputy sheriff arrested Davis last Thursday when he arrived at an Edmond convenience store. Davis thought he had arranged a meeting there with the girl, instead he had been corresponding with an undercover member of Oklahoma's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The OSBI says Davis not only has played Santa Claus, he's also a youth baseball coach.

Sadie Varnell is one of his neighbors.

"I cannot believe that. I am shocked, my kids go over there to play, and that's very unnerving," she said.

Davis was booked into the Logan County Jail.
