Police say they arrested a drunken, half-naked man at an Oklahoma City motel after he told an officer going to jail would be "cool."
The clerk at the Days Inn Oklahoma City South at 2616 S. I-35 Service Road called police on Tuesday, July 16, to report an intoxicated man was standing in the lobby.
When an officer arrived, he found 33-year-old Jessie Morgan in the lobby wearing only his boxer shorts. The officer said Morgan could barely stand up, had heavily-slurred speech and smelled strongly of alcohol.
Morgan told the officer he had a room in the motel and he was heading to the bar. Police called the room and asked Morgan's friend to come escort him back, but the officer said Morgan became verbally combative.
Morgan reportedly called the officer names, said he wasn't going to stay in his room, and then stated, "You know what would be [expletive] cool? If you took me to jail."
The officer said Morgan continued to request to go to jail, so police placed him under arrest for public intoxication.
