Man Pistol-Whipped During Robbery In NW OKC

A man is recovering after police say he was robbed and beaten early Thursday morning in his northwest Oklahoma City apartment.

Police say three suspects forced their way into a unit at the Lincoln Green Apartments near N.W. 122nd Street and Penn. They pistol-whipped the man living there and robbed him.

Police say during the assault, the suspects' gun fired, sending bullets into the apartment above. There were people sleeping in the apartment, but no one was hit by gunfire.

The suspects ran away and have not been caught. Police say there were three of them, but they have not released descriptions of them.

The victim sustained head injuries but he is expected to be okay.
