One Arrested After Wrong-Way Crash On The Kilpatrick In W OKC

Emergency crews responded to an accident that involved a vehicle driving in the wrong direction on the Kilpatrick Turnpike, Thursday afternoon.

It happened on the southbound side of the Kilpatrick, near the NW 36^th St. overpass on the far west side of Oklahoma City near Yukon, Okla.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the female driver was not injured in the crash. Troopers at the scene arrested the woman under suspicion of driving under the influence. Her identity is not known at this time.

No one else was injured and no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The inside lane of the turnpike was temporarily shut down while crews cleaned up the scene.

OHP is investigating the exact cause of the crash.
