Two women were arrested after police say they attacked two employees at a cosmetics store in southwest Oklahoma City, and took off with $3,000 worth of merchandise.
According to police, officers responded to the report of an assault at an Ulta Beauty store, located at 6417 S.W. 3rd Street in Oklahoma City just before 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 3.
Two employees at the store told police that they were hit in the head and sprayed with pepper spray by three women, who are accused of shoplifting from the store.
The victim told police she saw the women walking around the store with three bags of merchandise and recognized them from previous shoplifting incidents at the store.
The victim and another employee stood between the suspects and the door. That's when one of the suspects struck her in the head with a shopping bag and sprayed her with pepper spray.
According to the police report, the other employee was also hit in the head with a bag and sprayed with pepper spray.
The suspects dropped one bag near the door, but took off running from the store with two bags full of fragrances. Police say the fragrances were worth $3,000.
The suspects then got into a car that was already running with someone in the driver's seat, according to police. A woman sitting her vehicle at the parking lot witnessed the entire incident, and was able to write down the suspects' tag number.
Two of the suspects, 21-year-old Myra Brooks, and 26-year-old Reba Brooks, were taken into custody by police.
