Small Earthquake Recorded Near Jones

A small earthquake was recorded near Jones, Oklahoma, early Saturday morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded at about 2:44 a.m. Its epicenter was located one mile north, northeast of Jones, six miles north of Choctaw, 11 miles east, southeast of Edmond, and 15 miles east, northeast of Oklahoma City.

It was about two miles deep.

No injuries or damage were immediately reported following this earthquake.
