An Oklahoma City man was arrested Wednesday night after lighting his duplex on fire in what police expect was an incident of domestic violence.

It happened just before 10 p.m. at a duplex located in the 1400 block of S. Indiana Ave., in southwest Oklahoma City.

According to police, a man in the home, who has been identified as the brother, was acting wildly before setting the home on fire. Fire crews were called to the scene and were able to get the blaze under control.

One family member was inside of the home at the time the fire started, but that person was able to get to safety.

Police arriving on scene had to taze the brother and pull him from the home. Police say he will be evaluated for possible mental illness and could be booked for arson.

A damage estimate to the duplex has not been released. Police have not identified the suspect.
