Feuding tornado relief organizations in Shawnee have the attention of the Pottawatomie County Sheriff.

Steelman Estates resident Sherrie Starner called News 9 because she claims a biker organization called "The U.S. Defenders" plan to take away one of two donated travel trailers her family's been living in since last Summer.

Starner says she's being punished because another relief organization called "America's Disaster Relief" is trying to build her a new home where her mobile home was destroyed last May.

"They pick and choose who they want to help and we're not one of them," she said.

A U.S. Defenders spokesman says there are no plans to take away Starner's trailer.

Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth told me Thursday night The U.S. Defenders are still welcome in Steelman Estates, unless the homes association there asks them to leave.
