Police released more information in the case of a deceased body found at a motel in Del City.

According to police, on March 6, Del City police responded to a call at Motel 6, 5501 Tinker Diagonal, in reference to a deceased occupant in room 135. On arrival, officers and detectives found the body of Larry Don Allen kneeling next to the bed.

As stated in the affidavit, authorities only found clothes in the room. There was no sign of a wallet or cell phone in the room or a vehicle, registered to Allen, in the parking lot.

Police said the motel personnel provided documentation that showed the room was registered to Allen and a listed occupant, 29-year-old Laycie Mason. Security footage showed Allen checking in to the motel with Mason.

As the investigation continued, police said they learned Allen was driving a red, extended cab Chevrolet, but the pickup has still not been located. They believe Allen had a wallet with a large amount of cash and a cell phone in his possession. The cell phone was later found at another motel about 12 miles away.

Police said they found Mason at a Midwest City motel. During an interview, Mason said she witnessed Allen become "short of breath," fall to the bed, start "snoring" and "gurgling" and become unresponsive. She said she could not "wake" Allen. Mason admitted to taking Allen's keys and cell phone and leaving the room without getting help. She also stated she left the motel in Allen's truck, but would not tell police where it is located.

Del City Sergeant Joseph Miller said, "The defendant knew that Allen was in medical distress by the admission that she began to search him for medical identification tags and looking for any ‘little pills' that she identifies that her grandfather took for his heart."

Mason is facing charges of Manslaughter in the 2nd Degree, Larceny of an Automobile and Grand Larceny.
