Several homes in a northeast Oklahoma City neighborhood were evacuated due to a gas leak Tuesday morning.
According to authorities, just before 11 a.m., emergency crews responded to a gas leak at N.E. 48th and Prospect. Fire officials say they don't believe it was high pressure.
Crews were able to cap the leak quickly. As a precaution, six houses in the surrounding area were evacuated immediately.
Oklahoma Natural Gas crews are on their way to investigate the leak.
