OSBI Identifies Body Found In Bryan County

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has positively identified the body of a man, discovered in a rural area of Bryan County, as 32-year-old Steven Lee Sessums.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has positively identified the body of a man, discovered in a rural area of Bryan County, as 32-year-old Steven Lee Sessums.

OSBI investigators say Sessums was killed sometime on Saturday and his body was dumped near Canella Creek, nearly three miles east of the town of Durant near old Highway 70.

Agents arrested 26-year-old Raymond Stewart Tuesday afternoon, on a complaint of first-degree murder for the death of Sessums. According to OSBI, a passerby spotted the body and contacted authorities immediately.

The medical examiner has determined Sessums' cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head and neck.
