A relative finds a man dead inside his northwest Oklahoma City home Thursday and homicide investigators are still trying to figure out exactly what happened.
Police arrived on the scene around 3:30 p.m. Thursday after a woman told police her brother was inside the home dead.
"The neighborhood is mostly pretty quiet," said neighbor, Mary Reynolds.
"I just happened to be in the backyard mowing and just noticed all the commotion," said Aron Seymore. "I didn't hear anything."
"This is being investigated as a homicide," said Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow, OCPD spokeswoman.
Homicide investigators combed through the scene for several hours as the woman who called 911 was placed inside a squad car for questioning.
"It's unnerving, but it's not the first time," said Reynolds.
Reynolds lives a few house down from the scene on NW 48th. She says there was a man found stabbed to death outside her home 10 years ago.
"Right in the middle of the intersection," said Reynolds.
But, she says it's been fairly quiet ever since, and no one has had any suspicions about the home where the man was found.
"There's other houses that we're suspicious of in the neighborhood, but not that one," said Reynolds.
"I'm very sad for the person, and you know, I don't feel like it's a usual thing for this neighborhood," said neighbor Louise Goldberg.
Police would not say where the body was found in the home, or how the man died at this point. Police encourage anyone with information to give them a call or call Crime Stoppers.
