My 2 Cents: Google Glass Is Fascinating, Unnerving At The Same Time

Something went on sale today for the first time that hasn't gotten a lot of attention, but it has the potential to radically change the way we live and violate your privacy.

A limited supply of Google Glass…not glasses... but Google Glass went on sale today, only on the Internet and for $1,500 dollars a pop.

I am both fascinated by it and weirded out by it at the same time.

It wirelessly connects to your smart phone like a Bluetooth earpiece, only this frame has a tiny rectangular screen that rests just above your right eye.

You can look up things on Google, or Go-Ogle as I like to call it, just by telling the glass to Google a topic. Up it pops in front of your eye.

You can get text messages on it or a map to your destination.

How about taking a picture or shooting video with just a word, a tap or a wink of your eye?

This is where it gets weird.

Google Glass has a tiny camera, and by winking, you can activate it really without anyone knowing.

AND the experts say facial recognition with the Google Glass is inevitable. See someone across the room and wait for the glass to pull up everything it can find about them on the Internet.

This wearable computer is fascinating and unnerving at the same time.

What do you think?
