The victim told police that on April 1, he was outside the Valero station at 3609 S. Penn. when two men approached him. One man distracted the victim by offering him a beer, while the other one grabbed him from behind, police said.

The suspects demanded money from the victim. When the victim yelled for help, one suspect stabbed the victim twice, according to police.
