Lawton Police Seek Pickup Involved In Fatal Hit-And-Run

Lawton police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian early Tuesday morning.

According to police, at about 12:08 a.m., two people were walking eastbound on Cache Road near 52nd Street. One person was walking on the grass while the other was walking on the street.

Police say the man walking on the street, later identified as 57-year-old Troy McGee, was struck by a pickup truck and suffered major trauma. McGee was transported to the Comanche County Memorial Hospital where he later died.

The pickup truck involved in the crash was last seen heading east on Cache Road. Police have not released a description of the pickup at this time.

According to Lawton police, officers are currently processing evidence, contacting businesses in the area, and obtaining videos of the incident and surround area.
