Toddler Resuscitated After Near Drowning In Edmond

An Edmond toddler is recovering after a near drowning, Saturday evening.

It happened at a home located in the 19000 block of Harness Court.

Edmond Police tell News 9 the grandfather of the 2-year-old boy was gardening and took his eye off the child for a moment. In that moment the child fell into a pool on the property.

The grandfather pulled the toddler out of the water, called 911 and started CPR. Paramedics arrived soon after and took the child to the hospital.

News 9 is told the child was responsive and crying in the ambulance. No other information has been released at this time.
