OKLAHOMA CITY -- A warm and sunny day is in the forecast.

Morning temperatures are in the 60s and 70s with a light south wind. It's almost summer and those pleasant mornings are here to stay.

Later on Thursday, it will be sunny and hot with highs in central Oklahoma in the upper 80s. Parts of western Oklahoma may get into the mid-90s. Winds stay light 5-15mph and the UV index is extreme with a 9 out of 10.

Late day and early evening, far western Oklahoma may see a stray storm as the rain maker we have talked about all week makes its way into the state. The rest of the state will be warm early evening with overnight lows near 70 degrees.

Rain Chances increase statewide on Friday with best chances over the weekend. We don't expect a total washout, but scattered showers moving through off and on into next Tuesday.
