Convicted Sex Offender Arrested In OKC For Having Child Porn On Phones

A convicted sex offender was arrested Wednesday night in Oklahoma City, after police say they found nude photos of young boys on his cell phones.

According to police, at about 10:40 p.m., officers spoke with 42-year-old David Kemp at N.E. 23rd and N. Prospect.

Police say Kemp appeared to be very nervous and was having trouble answering the officers' questions. He admitted that he had previously been convicted of statutory rape and that he had not registered as a sex offender because he didn't know where to register.

Officers later determined that Kemp had been convicted of lewd acts with a minor in 1992 and 1999, and that he failed to register as a sex offender in 1999.

Police say Kemp gave the officers permission to check his two cell phones. Officers then found multiple nude photos of young boys.

Kemp was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of possession of obscene materials.
