Three Fridays ago, Chickasha Teacher Rick Webb was driving a school bus filled with students who were heading to a field trip in Norman.

Webb does not remember what happened next, but he blacked out at the wheel. Only quick heroic efforts by three other teachers averted a disaster on I-35.

After they got the bus stopped, CPR efforts on Rick Webb were fruitless. Rick had suffered a massive cardiac arrest.

However, an EMSA paramedic was able to shock Rick's heart back to life with a defibrillator. That same paramedic told Rick that only 4 or 5 percent of the people who suffer the kind of cardiac event he suffered live.

And of that 4 or 5 percent, only 10 percent of them don't have brain damage. Two weeks later, which was last Friday, Rick was still able to accompany a group of 8th graders from Pioneer School.

Rick had helped those kids win a contest. It allowed them to sing a song with legendary rock band Foreigner, who gave a concert at the Zoo Amphitheater in Oklahoma City.

Today, Rick Webb looked back at his experience over the past month.

"It's taught me that anything is not for sure. Every day when you get up in the morning, you never know what will happen. It has taught me God is still in the miracle business," said Rick Webb.
