Over half a million dollars of high-grade marijuana was found in a car at a truck stop on the west side of Oklahoma City, Sunday morning.

Deputies with the Canadian County Sheriff's office made contact with a truck driver at the TA truck stop located at 501 S. Morgan Rd., who was hauling a red 2013 Chevy Impala just after 6 a.m. on Sunday.

The deputies asked the truck driver for permission to search the Impala where they found several bundles of the high-grade marijuana, weighing approximately 115 lbs, fetching a street value of around $650,000.

The driver was interviewed and told the investigators he was transporting the Impala from Los Angeles to Memphis. During the interview investigators were convinced the driver had no knowledge of the drugs he was hauling and he was freed without being charged.

Deputies have obtained possible suspect information and state charges are expected to be filed and brought to the Canadian County District Attorney's Office. No other information has been released at this time.
