On Memorial Day, we are used to seeing lots of motorcycles on Oklahoma roads. On Sunday, some of Oklahoma's own decided to head out of state to honor a group of wounded veterans.

The Independent Misfit Bikers are a self-proclaimed group of do-gooders on two wheels. On Sunday, they journeyed to Memphis where they plan to visit patients at a Veterans hospital.

The group works to raise money and awareness for our American heroes.

"Let the guys know we care about them and let them know we appreciate what they've done for us," Leroy Knox said.

"I respect all the veterans highly. I take my hat off to them doing what they do over there so we can be free to do what we do for them here," Michael Havice said.

This year, the group raised $12,000 to donate to the hospital, which is $2,000 more than last year.
