Oklahoma City University bested Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) 4-0 on Tuesday at South Commons Complex in the NAIA Softball World Series.

Danielle Fox twirled a four-hit shutout for her second whitewash of the tournament for the 16th-ranked Stars (55-12). Oklahoma City faces the College of Idaho-William Carey (Miss.) winner at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Oklahoma City advanced into the round of four teams for the 19th time among its 29 national-tournament appearances. OCU has captured eight national championships in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2007 and finished runner-up five times in 1986, 1993, 1999, 2010 and 2012.

Emily Krienke laced a two-run, two-out double into right-center field to highlight the Stars' three-run sixth inning. Kyndra Holasek scored OCU's first run from third base on Jocelin Diaz's squeeze-bunt attempt. Lindsey Wilson pitcher Casey Bryan fielded the bunt and tossed the ball away trying to throw out Holasek on the play.

Fox put the Stars ahead 4-0 by reaching home plate on a wild pitch with one out in the top of the seventh.

Diaz and Cheyanne Terry each drew walks in the fourth inning with one out. Bryan retired Kylee Rounsaville on a popup and Krienke on a groundout.

Fox, a senior from Yukon, Okla., struck out six and walked one in a 121-pitch effort. Fox moved to 23-4 while picking up her 16th complete game and eighth shutout of 2014. In the World Series, Fox has a 1.38 earned run average with 15 strikeouts in 25.1 innings pitched.

Lindsey Wilson went down in order in the second, third, fifth and sixth innings against Fox. The Stars turned a 4-3 double play in the first. Lindsey Wilson (50-11) entered the game leading the NAIA with 1.48 home runs per game and second with a .574 slugging percentage.

The Blue Raiders loaded the bases in the fourth as Andrea Whelan and Madison Scott singled, then Amanda Trampe drew a one-out walk. Fox escaped the jam when Bailey Mize hit a fly ball to left-field foul territory. Jamie Rateliff kept the game scoreless by gunning down Whelan at the plate trying to score to complete another OCU double play.

Fox, Holasek, Krienke and Terry accounted for the Stars' hits on the day. Terry added a stolen base.
