Girl, 6, Drowns In Garvin County Lake

A 6-year-old Pauls Valley girl drowned Sunday evening in Longmire Lake, in Garvin County.

The Pauls Valley Police Department received a call just before 6 p.m. on a report that the young girl was missing. The first officer on scene was told that the girl was last seen playing in the water.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. officer pulled the girl's body from the water. She has not been identified at this time.

Multiple emergency crews assisted in searching for the girl, including OHP, Chickasaw Lighthorse Police, and the Oklahoma Wildlife Department, as well as others.
