Oklahoma City police are having their sex crimes unit investigate after a woman's husband claimed his wife was pulled over and groped by two men dressed in black and wearing badges.
"I'm lucky my wife's here, that they didn't throw her in their trunk and take off with her," Alan Smith said.
Smith said he totally believes what his wife is telling him.
He said she went out to eat with her mom late Tuesday night at a restaurant near the Sam's Club at Pennsylvania and Memorial, when she noticed flashing lights in her rear view mirror.
He said she pulled over about a mile away, near Western and Memorial just after 11:15 p.m.
"Next thing you know, she's on the front of her car being sexually harassed and molested and touched inappropriately," Smith said.
When Oklahoma City police checked their logs, they discovered none of their officers had been in that area at that time.
"We believe this woman was stopped by police impersonators," Oklahoma City Police Department Msgt. Gary Knight said.
Now, both police and the woman's husband are wondering if anyone else has been approached by the same two men.
"The public is still at risk anytime there is someone like that out there doing what they're doing," said Msgt. Knight. "So we want to get them identified and get them off the streets."
Smith said his wife said the two men were driving a dark Crown Victoria that had numbers on the car but could not make out if there was a seal on the door.
Now, he hopes police catch the two men before they strike again.
"I just hope something gets done," Smith said.
Police are checking with businesses around the area of Western and Memorial to see if any of them had any surveillance video of this incident.
Police say if you have any information about this case or have also been approached by two suspicious men, call 911 immediately.
