Organizers for the first annual downtown outdoor music festival, OKCFest said, they are pleased with the turnout for the 4-day festival in downtown Oklahoma City.
More than 35,000 people attended the event as 44 musical acts took the stage. Big names in country music, like, Lady Antebellum and Dierks Bentley performed on the main stage over the weekend. Many fans also took advantage of the free concerts in the Myriad Gardens.
"We are beyond thrilled with our city's incredible response to the inaugural OKCFest," Founder Fred Hall said. "The bar was high and we cleared it. OKCFest is building the foundation for a world-class event. The festival is a testament to how far the music industry in our city has come and how far it can go. We are turning our attention to the future and will work to make the experience even better next year."
The festival was also a big success for local food truck vendors.
