According to multiple reports, former top recruit Dorial Green-Beckham is in Norman on Thursday meeting with coaches and is considering a transfer to OU.
The junior receiver once had the Sooners among his top candidates out of high school but he committed late to Missouri. The 6-foot-6 Green-Beckham totaled 28 receptions for 395 yards and five touchdowns as a freshman and then posted 59 catches for 883 yards and 12 scores as a sophomore, but several run-ins with the law eventually got him kicked off the team.
Green-Beckham was arrested and suspended two games for drug possession as a freshman and again arrested for drug possession on January 10, 2014. Then in April he allegedly forced open an apartment door and pushed a female down several stairs. He wasn't charged in the incident but it was enough for Missouri and coach Gary Pinkel to dismiss the talented wideout.
'DGB' would have to sit out a year and join the Sooners in 2015 due to transfer restrictions. He's also reportedly considering sitting 2014 out entirely and entering the NFL Draft next year.
But, if Green-Beckham becomes a Sooner and joins a seasoned Sterling Shepard and Trevor Knight in 2015, look out Big 12 secondaries.
