Police in Altus are dealing with a string of shootings, and the suspects are on the run.
At least two of the three victims in one of these cases are in the hospital, but family members are hopeful they will recover and police can find who did it.
"I looked at her and the look on her face," said Stacy Jones. "I just said, ‘Where's he at?'"
Stacy's son, Stephn Jones, was at a house, but was rushed to the hospital. News 9 agreed to not reveal the location, because Stacy said even though Stephn Jones survived the shooting, his life is still in danger.
"No visitors are allowed except me and his father, because they're afraid that somebody is going to try to make another threat to his life," she said.
Stephn Jones was one of three people shot earlier this week, and police have no suspects. However, they did find several shell casings around the scene and believe there is more than one person involved.
Stephn Jones is in critical but stable condition, the bullet going through his face.
"He's going to have to have reconstructive surgery on his face," said Stacy Jones. "The bullet went in his neck and exited his face. He's blessed to be alive."
She said her son can't talk and will not be able to for a long time, but she knows he's listening.
"I read a letter that the baby's mother had wrote him, and a tear came out his eye," Stacy Jones said.
Stephn Jones had used pen and paper to ask about her and their one-year-old son. He's got a long road ahead, but his mother believes he's going to make it.
"I'm just blessed to have my child still in this world," Stacy Jones said.
News 9 was told one of the other victims in this case is paralyzed from the shooting.
Altus police say another home was shot up early Thursday morning. It is unknown if the two cases are related.
