Two men from Missouri died Friday night in a wreck in Delaware County.
It happened at 9:04 p.m. Friday, nine miles east and one mile north of Jay, Oklahoma on State Highway 20.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Estilmel Perez of Noel, Missouri and 21-year-old Ludi Ordonez of Carthage, Missouri were traveling north on State Highway 20.
The reporting trooper said the men were traveling at a "high rate of speed" when they departed the roadway to the left, overcorrected and then came back onto the roadway. The men then departed to the left a second time, overturned one fourth of the way and struck a tree.
Both men were pinned for 56 minutes and died at the scene from massive internal and head injuries, according to the collision report.
OHP said the men were not wearing seatbelts, and the report listed the condition of the driver as "odor of alcohol beverages."
