A woman's body was discovered near a tree farm in Oklahoma City on Monday. Investigators believe her body, may have been there for more than a week.
It happened near Southeast 15th and Easter in Oklahoma City. Police identified the woman as Carla Sessions Wood, 49. Her family had been searching for her around the area.
There were no words from Wood's family, when they found out, the body police discovered along a fence line was hers. Wood's niece saw the police cars and told News 9, her aunt Carla, had been missing and that she spent days searching for her.
She said she wanted to hop the fence many times before and look inside the tree farm, but it was locked.
Wood's step daughter filed a police report on June 29th after they couldn't find her.
Wood's family said, her daughter passed away just before she went missing. It was one of the last posts she made on her Facebook page.
Family said Wood worked at a nearby business and would walk across the tree farm on her way to and from work, but something cut one of those trips short.
An exact cause of death will have to be determined by the Medical Examiner's office.
