A dangerous and illegal fireworks display late Saturday night in a government housing complex came close to injuring Oklahoma City firefighters.
Those firefighters had been called to Fred Factory Garden Apartments to put out a large dumpster fire. Police say those firefighters were then attacked by a group of young men with powerful fireworks.
Police arrested three men, two for felony threat to use explosives, and one for outstanding warrants, and resisting arrest.
"I don't know if they were trying to scare us or what," said Battalion Chief Felton Morgan. "We've learned to adapt and overcome a lot of situations. I think that's what we did here."
