Nearly a year removed from the Sports Illustrated series “The Dirty Game,” an Oklahoma State spokesman told ESPN’s Brett McMurphy the NCAA is nearing the end of its process and that the university expects the results of an internal investigation within the next few months.

“The inquiry continues, and it is hoped that it will conclude within the next few months,” the spokesman told ESPN. “The university anticipates releasing a report after the NCAA concludes its process. Since it is an ongoing inquiry conducted in cooperation with the NCAA, the university is unable to comment further at this time.”

Last week, Oklahoma State legend John Talley filed a lawsuit against Sports Illustrated for the way he was portrayed in the series. Talley, a former Cowboy wrestler and current FCA representative, was suspended from outreach activities involving OSU athletes.
